Lisa Amos, SLP,
One fall, in a classroom for children with developmental delays, we were making Thanksgiving turkey pictures. I told little Mikaela, "Make eyes," "Ok, now make a nose..." while she took great care to give facial features to her turkey. Upon completion of her project, I noticed her intently staring as she studied my face. Suddenly, she grabbed her marker and put the finishing touches on her project with six horizontal lines across the turkey's forhead. Apparantly, some turkeys have facial wrinkles just like this seasoned speech therapist. |
