Submitted by Erika Courlander, Clinical Supervisor, Mt. Pleasant, MI Working with an elderly woman who had experienced mild stroke, I was drilling on comprehension of yes/no questions. She was doing remarkably well, until I asked her, "Does the weatherman direct traffic?" "Yes, he does," she responded. I repeated the question. Again she responded "yes". So, I asked her, "Do you know what a weatherman does?" "Sure," she responded, her eyes twinkling. "He tells you 'weather' to go or 'weather" to stop.
