At the start of the school year, it was time for hearing screenings for the kindergarten classes. I visited each classroom and demonstrated the hearing screening procedures, showing and telling the students that as soon as you hear the beeping sound be sure to raise your hand. Later that day a kindergarten teacher told me that after I left her classroom the principal made an announcement over the intercom. Just before the announcement the intercom makes a beeping noise. Right on cue all the students raised their hands in response to the intercom beeping sound!
