A few years back the principal of my school took an early retirement for health reasons. The staff anxiously awaited meeting the new principal. I was walking down the hall when I was introduced to him. After telling him what my position was, one of my students joined our conversation. The principal asked her what she was having for lunch that day. The student proudly announced, "Bagetti." I reminded her that the word had the "s" sound in it. She tried again, this time saying, "Baaaasghetti." Then, I decided to help her say it correctly. I smiled at the new principal, looked at the student, and said, "No, try PAAAsghetti." My new boss started laughing and winked saying, "Well, now I will never forget our speech path!" It took a long time to live that one down.
