While working with a group of primary-aged boys in therapy one day, I decided to incorporate a social language activity just for fun to facilitate speech carryover skills. I asked one of the boys what he would ask if he wanted someone to pass him something. Without missing a beat, he replied, arms waving, "Hey! Over here! I'm open!"
